University of East Capital Inaugurates State-of-the-Art Medical Simulation Center
In a new milestone reflecting its commitment to advancing medical education and strengthening students’ practical and clinical competencies, the University of East Capital (UEC) inaugurated its state-of-the-art Medical Simulation Center, designed to provide an advanced medical education and training experience aligned with the latest international standards and technologies.
The center was officially inaugurated by Prof. Ayman Diab, President of the University of East Capital, in the presence of Major General Dr. Yasser El-Sayed, Director of Galala Training Academy; Dr. Heba Abdallah, Director of the Skills Lab and representative of the American Heart Association (AHA); Dr. Sherif El-Segini and Dr. Ahmed El-Khawaga, AHA-certified instructors, alongside university leaders and faculty members.
Vision for Next-Generation Medical Education
Speaking during the inauguration, Prof. Ayman Diab emphasized that the University of East Capital, which has earned recognition among the world’s top 30 innovative educational experiences, continues to pursue its vision of delivering an advanced model of medical education that combines academic knowledge, hands-on training, and cutting-edge technology.
Virtual Learning Technologies & Foundational Sciences
Prof. Diab explained that the launch of the Medical Simulation Center represents a significant addition to UEC’s educational ecosystem. The center is equipped with advanced technologies designed to support students from the beginning of their academic journey, starting with the acquisition of skills related to the basic medical sciences.
These include modern virtual learning technologies such as Virtual Anatomy, Virtual Physiology, and Virtual Microscopy, enabling students to understand complex medical concepts in a more interactive and engaging way while building a strong scientific foundation before progressing to clinical training and direct patient interaction.
Comprehensive Clinical Competencies & VR Scenario Training
The Medical Simulation Center provides students with opportunities to develop a wide range of clinical competencies, beginning with Basic Medical and Surgical Skills, Clinical Reasoning Skills, and Basic Life Support (BLS) and progressing to specialized and advanced clinical skills across several medical disciplines.
Training areas include pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, emergency medicine, and patient care. Using high-fidelity simulation models and realistic clinical scenarios, students can practice responding to different medical situations in a safe and controlled educational environment, preparing them to manage increasingly complex clinical cases.
The center also incorporates Virtual Reality (VR) technologies, providing immersive learning experiences that simulate real-life medical situations and allow students to develop their practical and clinical competencies before working directly with patients.

On the sidelines of the inauguration, Prof. Ayman Diab, together with the University’s guests, honored the top-performing students of UEC’s “Golden Cohort” in recognition of their dedication, academic excellence, and exemplary achievement.
