Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) at UEC
Our Mission
The mission of the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) department is to foster a culture of safety, health, and environmental stewardship across the University of East Capital. We do this by providing technical expertise, professional services, training, and regulatory oversight to all laboratories and research spaces at UEC. We work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students to ensure a safe working environment for everyone at UEC. Building a safety culture is a collective responsibility that involves commitment and involvement at all levels.
Core HSE Objectives
The Campus Safety Committee is a required extension of the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Department. The CSC is designed to connect departments and personnel across campus, providing a unified voice in Health, Safety, and Environment matters.
Safe Working Environment
Comprehensive oversight across all laboratories, clinical classrooms, and administrative facilities.
Employee & Student Wellness
Promoting health awareness, ergonomic standards, and preventive health practices.
Incident & Risk Reduction
Minimizing accidents and operational hazards through routine audits and SOP enforcement.
Public & Environmental Care
Ensuring compliance with Egyptian environmental standards and public health guidelines.
